People carry similar looking baggage and it often leads to confusion when the baggage comes on the conveyor belt. Since reading nametags takes time, I always stick a large, bright, shiny sticker on both sides of the bags so that I can spot them even from a distance.

Wear loose clothes when you fly. The low air pressure makes your body swell. Wear an extra layer – so that you can remove or add clothes as the temperature changes. Also try to wear as much cotton as possible as cotton allows easy breathing.

Whenever I lock the suitcase, I have a lurking fear that if the people who are handling the cargo throw it from one end to the other, it is going to split open. To avoid this, some people tie coils of plastic rope or tape on it. It would be simpler to use a suitcase belt.

Before leaving the country for a vacation, note down all address on a piece of sticky note. This would save you from carrying the address book while travelling. Just peel off the label, stick it on the post card, and mail it to your friend, thus saving on time and space.

Check while hiring a travel agency
A number of fraud cases are occurring these days. So few things needs to checked before making a decision to hire a travel agency.
Firstly it is recommended to go for a government advocated travel agency. Check the details clearly in websites. Call up the hotels that they offer you to stay to cross check if reservations are done and the facilities required are present or not. Also get details about the hotel in the website. Preserve all the bills and statement of agreement and payment made for future reference. Read the agreements properly to avoid any argument further. -

To overcome jetlag you should book an overnight flight or opt for the flight which arrives in the evening.Do not remove your shoes and at intervals walk in the aisle which prevents your feet from swelling. In long journey flight make sure you do not drink much alcohol as it may cause dehydration. If your baggage is not comming with you in the same flight, then fill out a form for Property Irregularity Report (PIR), in which you should mention the number of items and contents in the baggage and the address where it has to be delivered. For smooth journey always select the seats near the wings, it is the place where you would get less number of bumps. Last but not the least, report immediately if any unattended item is found inside the aircraft.

Exploring Jaisalmer !!!
Jaisalmer is on the extreme west part of Rajasthan along side the Pakistan Border. It is a very colourful city. The city has a fort on the outskirts and offers a great place for a tourist. It has many shops offering typical rajasthani dresses and attire. Apart from the fort, you can also go to “Sam-Dunes”, which is around 50-60 kms from Jaisalmer City in the middle of desert. You can enjoy bonfire, and camping. Beyond this point, tourists are not allowed to go any further. Only local villagers or BSF people can move ahead. From this point, the Pakistan border is hardly 10 kms.

In international flights, flooring is usually frosty due to high altitude. Always remember to carry a jacket and a pair of woolen socks with you in hand baggage. Most of the airplanes include a fan that blows air directly on passenger, lowering fan’s speed also helps a lot.

A person going on an air travel should always check-in from home using websites of concerned airlines. This will help in avoiding a lot of inconvenience in front of check-in counter. If you are carrying only hand baggage, then most of the ground crew will redirect you directly to security check.
